SXSW Film Festival Coordinator (and shorts programming queen) Lya Guerra, is in Seattle on the shorts jury at this year’s Seattle International Film Festival. I’ve asked her to check in with reports when she has time, and here’s her first:
“… i also loved a short french film called “pick-up” by Manuel Schapira that i’d like to snag for next year and “hellO?” from Gavin Lim of singapore is midnight worthy to say the least. it’s really keenly stylish and weird and violent. cool.”
