人と会話をしているとき、心の中には別の自分がいる。
そんな感覚はきっと誰にでもあるのではないでしょうか？
でももし心の声が相手に聞こえたら……なんて考えただけでも恐ろしくなりますよね。

２００５年度シンガポール国際映画祭で最優秀監督賞に輝いた「Subtitie/心の声」は、そうした「本音」をクローズアップしています。

昔付き合っていた男女が久しぶりに会い、交わす会話。
その会話と同時にそれぞれの本音を字幕（サブタイトル）で読み取っていくという斬新なスタイルで、まさに２人の「心の声」が聞けてしまうのです。

人が併せ持つ「表」と「裏」の感情が同時に伝わってくるので、その人の本質がはっきりと見えてきます。でもそれを知っているのは、映画を観ているあなただけ。

人の秘密を覗いているみたいで、スリル感があるものの、全てを知ってしまったことに少し罪悪感も感じてしまう、そんな気持ちになる作品です。
