‘Masked something’

Just finished the film treatment for this 15 min short to be submitted for the PRO category for the PanasonicMDA contest. It’s about a young man who is still trapped in his teenage indulgence of games, comics and TV. To the point of he finds refuge to act out his alterego, Masked Something. No name yet. The breaking point was his nemesis drawing him out to his so called ‘origin’. Is it all imagined or is it coming to terms the product of the new pop age of youths. What’s that?

Panasonic-MDA Digital Film Fiesta 2005

” Short Film – Professional Category
The Short Film – Professional Category is targeted at emerging filmmakers residing in Singapore who are looking to bring their interest to the professional level.

Five filmmakers will be shortlisted to produce their short films under this category. Filmmakers will be shortlisted based on the submission of (1) one short film that the applicant has directed previously, and (2) a written treatment of a short film that the applicant plans to make during this festival, if selected. The submission deadline to be shortlisted is April 7, 2005.”

Looks like this may be the kick-in-the-butt, shot-in-the-arm that I need to push myself to accomplish something this year.
